Welcome back - I hope you all had a fun and successful time at SIGGRAPH.
(I know that we had a blast partying with you!) This week's Quick Tip is a short one, but it can make navigating Shotgun much easier. Did you know that you can jump to the menu item you want just by typing it?
Let's say I want to create a new page for a weekly report. Using the keyboard shortcut
I mentioned previously, I can press "N" to activate the New Menu, and then begin typing "page". You'll notice that your selection will jump down and highlight Page - now just hit Enter to select it.
This works all throughout Shotgun - from the Apps menu to the toolbar buttons such as Sort, Group, Fields, More, and Pipeline. If there's a nested menu, you can use your arrow keys to pop that menu open and your focus will be in the new menu. Just type what you need and press enter.
